Default Difference between air-to-air and liquid-to-air ics?

Just wondering what the difference is between these types of intercoolers. Pro's and cons? TIA

Default One uses air to cool the fins while the other one uses water to remove the heat from the air

charge. The bad thing about air to water is that you have to also cool the water and there is a greater amount of weight added. Since you will need a holding tank, pump, water lines, fittings the IC and something that will alow the water to be cooled off. You are also sucking power from the motor with the small pump.

Default I see.. so does the h2o-to-air cool the air more

than an air-to-air ic? Other than the weight, is that the only disadvantage?
