It's time to put my car on a diet
My turbo puts out a lot of heat, enough that when it rains, I have a constant dry spot on the hood, with steam rising off of it, and that's just at idle.
I don't want to spend the money on a CF hood, only to have it warp, fall apart, or whatever else could happen.
I could put a heat shield on the turbo, although I'm not sure how much it will help.

Not necessarily.....
the stock turbo is located lower than my turbo, because the stock manifold bends down 90 degrees, whereas the ATP goes straight out.
You've got a much larger surface area that can radiate more heat, so I don't see why it would be cooler.
