Default Does anyone have a suggestion for an AutoX tire for concrete?

I used Toyo T1s last year....the first race of the year, and it was at S. Weymouth, where the tarmac is cement.

After one day, my tires looked nearly as worn as 6 autoX and two track days (the previous year)

That concrete is like sandpaper. What compounds with survive better? I was considering Falken azenis, Kuhmo V712, or hoosiers.

any suggestions?

Concrete is notoriously harsh on ANY tire in that circumstance...

Run a high-po true street tire maybe?

Default What's a "high-po true street "

Sorry, I'm tired.

Thanks for your help...I'm even considering running with a different club, and stay on the asphalt.

High performance street tire, like a Potenza S02 or S03, Eagle F1, P-Zero, SP Sport9000, ContiSport Contact, g-Force kd/kdw, Pilot Sport, etc.

Default if youre wearing out too much on the edges you have work on your style :)

i had 2 autox days on tarmac and it was grippy and spent the whole weekend trying to find the right pressure to get a little tail out
i guess Falken Azenis Asymetrico would be a good compromise, theyre quite popular with guys who drive to the event with their competition set on

Default Good point....But I never said I was any good =)

I know where it was wearing out....there was a HUGE sweeper, where I was pushing up to 90mph. I should have braked, and made a tighter turn, then accelerate out in a straight line.

I know it was "driver error" that wore the tires out, but still...I know that cement will eat thru a set of tires much quicker than the asphalt.

thanks
Matt
