Default Does anyone know if the 1.8T pistons are cast or forged?

It looks like our motors have oil squirters, which is an effective way to keep pistons cool, and prevent detonation, especially cast pistons.

I know the Supra runs cast pistons and oil squirters, and can push mega HP and boost with stock internals.

yeah, but you might as well get forged versions if you're doing your 2.0 conversion.....

Default Yeah, but I'm on a budget :)

I can get forged pistons, but they are $800 a set. The stock 1.8T pistons look great, even with 85K miles on them (60K chipped miles)
If the stock 2.0 pistons don't bump the compression up, then I'll probably use them. At least until I melt one, I can always rebuild

You can save even more money if you stick to 1.8 Liters

Default But then you'll be in the poor house again when you pick up a new 1.8T A4 :-D

Love the new body style... It took a while for it to grow on me, but I like it
