Dual brake calipers

Dual brake calipers
I recently purchased a set of '97 front brake calipers for my early '99 A4 FWD
Im planning on mounting them across from my current front calipers to have a dual caliper setup on each front wheel
I tried to stfa but couldnt find a situation in which this has been done
My problem is trying to find the best way to mount them since there is no bracket or stock mounting location Im either going to have to fabricate the bracket and weld it on to the spindle or drill through the front spindle to make a second mounting location and then add the bracket
Any advice???????? or a better way to do it???????

You will die a firey death...
please don't drive with other people in your car after you've done this, "mod"
Two calipers would be waaay too much brake torque...your braking distances would get MUCH MUCH worse, besides the A4 brake system is thermally limited more than anything...**** poor rotor.

Re: Why? - Good question
I have the factory 15inch rims on my vehical and between new rims and brake kit eveyerything (for a cheap kit) will end up being around +3K. That seems alot just to spend to get better brakes.
ALso from a performance perspective - the 15inch rims will have the lightest weight, and so theyll have a faster spin up
As far as dual calipers go - Ive seen someone do a dual 4pot setup on a passat but that was with willwood calipers and rotors
Also ferrari does dual pot setups too
one final note - the calipers are SINGLE piston
If heat is the worry would drilled or slotted rotors help the situation???

dual caliper is silly on the A4. It has enough clamp-power, the problem is that... ->
...disc will overheat!
If more bite is what you want:
Get some zimmerman rotors and other brakepads.
EBC greenstuff have great bite from cold.
You'll get plenty of stop-power...
Want more endurance too: buy BIG brakes and bigger wheels.
For an A4 17" is way more performance-oriented that 15", even though they might have more mass to spin up...!
Jamez.

maybe if the calipers are too powerful i can switch them to the back and then use the ones from the back up front along with the original?
so it would be a front caliper abd back caliper up front
and a front caliper in the back?
Thanks for your time.
