Default Dyno results....

250 HP, 245 ft lbs at the wheels (Mustang Dyno)

If you notice, the dyno starts ~4000 RPM. There's a violent stutter in the 3000-3500 RPM area as the turbo is spooling, so we had to go through the gears and start higher.

I think the peak torque would be higher if I could've done a full RPM pull.

It is nice to see that it pulls all the way to redline, no short shifting for me

Default I didn't have time to do it before the dyno...

I might get around to it today, but I've still got a lot of boxes to unpack (just moved)

If not today, then sometime this week.

Default nice....does the HP@50 mph make any difference or is it just a label?

Default I think it's just used as a calibration...

probably to account for dyno losses or something.

Mine was 3rd gear as well, the other cars did 4th, but the stutter I had was worse in 4th.

We have a timeslip database, we should start a dyno database....

Default Let me know if anyone wants to do this again.

Hell, I'd do it just to see what John can do once tuned.

Default Wait, if you dyno'd in 3rd, won't the numbers be off?

Last I checked, you should dyno in the gear closest to a 1:1 ratio, unless you can calibrate the dyno for gear discrepancies.

I THINK that if you dyno in a higher gear (or lower gear ratio), the numbers are inflated and if you dyno in a lower gear (or higher gear ratio), the numbers will read lower.

So, is your car faster or slower than that silly chart? ;-)

Default No, the dyno takes the gears into affect...

they start by taking a MPH reading in whatever gear the pull will be in at 3000 RPM.

The dyno actually reads MPH, then converts to RPM for the chart.
