EFK, anybody LOST boost after installing? How can that be???

I did
my friend and I both installed EFK's on the same weekend and we both lost ~3psi right after. The only thing I can think of is that there is less strain on the engine, therefore requiring less boost to produce the same (or better) results as pre-EFK. From what I understand, the boost levels are "load based" via software, so perhaps less load equals less boost.
