electric fan controller question
i recently installed a derale thermostatic fan controller. i wired both the 12v constant and 12v switched to the battery so the fan would run after the car shut off until the coolant temps lowered. looking at the m-blocks while it's running with the car off, though, the coolant temps don't go down, and even go up a bit. i let it run for probably 10 minutes and it wasn't doing much good, so i yanked the fuse and disconnected the battery.
i figured since the coolant isn't circulating after the car is off, keeping the fan going isn't going to do much good, so i rewrired it to a 12v switched lead.
those of you that have these, how do you have yours wired? also, what temp are you making yours come on at?
