Engine started, confirmed for Sat. and Sun. Drags at Waterfest - come and visit
Car will be in the TJM area and we will be tuning on dyno Friday. Will be draggin Sat. and Sun. with a little tuning based on what we see on the strip. Come by the TJM area and see the car and the progress we make.
BTW, has anyone been into the 11's on pump gas, what is fastest verified on pump? and race? I would assume low 12's hi 11's for pump and low 11's at around 125 on race, any factoids on this?
Car will have new engine/tranny/clutch-FW/and rear LSD, so it will be tight, but I want to know about best times to shoot for. Also 1st time in a long time to drag a non-race car, but when I ran the UR-s4 they told me I had to install a roll bar b4 running next time when car pulled 11's. Is this the case in a thing like Waterfest. If I get into 11's on pump I may not even get to run on race. Does the sub 12 sec. have to have a bar/cage in this event?

I only got 12.1 on 1.8L setup.
I got now 2.0L setup almost all completed, so hopefully within a month bak at drags for next try..

There are no 11 second A4's at this point.
Rules still state that you will have to run a roll bar in a modded car that runs 11.99 mph. This is a NHRA rule that all tracks must follow even if it is a track being rented for a event. They did make a new rule though, it is for factory cars with no power adder mods that are allowed to run down to 11.499 before having to add a roll bar.

Just because the track is rented, doesn't mean they will over look a rule...
You can get at least one run in though, if you "don't know" how fast it will run. So, make the first run really good ;-)

This is all up to the track, if they say get off then you get off.
Unless you seem to carry a NHRA director in your back seat.
Read the rules again, they are stated for "factory" cars that tend to run between 11.49-11.99.
But if they are going to let us slide into that rule, that is even better for me.
