Euro tuner challenge dyno result
My buddy Tim got 393 whp and 422 lb/ft @ wheels. This was with no dyno tuning yet, just the chip as shipped by Dahlback. Tuning will be done b4 the 1.8t challenge. Car was set up conservatively running only 800 deg C EGTs. Let the flame front begin. I have never seen anywhere close to the torque # on a 4 banger. This is about the same as I got out of a very highly tuned turbo 5 cyl..

So what did it do in the drag races?
I see it did not run in the top 3 which puts it slower then 12.9. A bit slow for 393 whp and 422 lb/ft @ wheels if you ask me even if it was held at Fontana.

Tim said 12.4 dont know what the official results were.
I personally think that is high even for the heat and slight elevation, I think 11's should be easy even on Pump. My old car did an 11 w/384whp and 3800lbs. I am hoping for that on pump w. my car @ at 10lbs per 1 whp or 330whp on a 3300 lb car. Remember much of a good 1/4 mi. time is due to the nut behind the steering wheel. There are some tricks, and getting a real good time on a quattro requires a lot of things line up or that you really know the car. Tim had never had this car to the track or on a dyno and the engine only had about 400 miles on it. Not bad for a first effort. Anyway the #'s were good enough in my opinion to maybe get a hi 10 w/everything working right, Tim said car spun wheels waay too much.
