Default Experiencing some issues with my oil pressure gauge... any thoughts?

On a cold start, when accelerating the gauge will read up to about 75 psi - shouldn't I be reading higher than this? When the oil temps get warm, at 3000 RPM's and higher, the gauge just stops at 50psi. Won't go any higher (will go down to 20/25 if I decelerate to idle) ... it "flutters" a bit, as if it's trying to go higher but can't. It's a 100psi gauge and a 100psi sender.

At idle when warm, the gauge reads between 20 and 25 psi (pretty normal). Specified range for 3000RPM's when temp is warm is between 62.5 and 78psi (IIRC) - do I have a leak somewhere that's only showing once I generate enough oil pressure in the system (ie, over 50psi) ? I think the gauge is fine as it'll read over 50psi on a cold start, just won't read over 50 once she's warm.

I'm going to disconnect my senders and stuff this week and reconnect them a bit tighter with some more thread sealant... any other suggestions? Thanks.

Default what type of oil do you use? and what oil change intervals

Could be this new oil sludge issue. I was talking to one of the techs. at my delership and he said that if I ever had any issues with oil press. to bring it in as that could be the culprit.
I use M1 5w/30 and change at 5k intervals so I hope it won't be a problem with my car.

Default Mobil-1 0w40... I don't think I've got sludge, because the stock sensor

is working fine. It's just the gauge, and it's been like this since day 1.

Default it's possible the electrical path is buggered up

either from the thread tape (bad ground) or your signal wire connection
