Default No. On a good running engine, it should fluctuate from almost full rich to almost full lean.....

You may have it hooked up wrong? Does it go full rich during WOT?

WOT=wide open throttle

Default I must have installed it wrong, at 2-3K in 1st gear it's near full rich.>

Omori boost and Autometer A/F are the gauges I installed.

Here's what I did:

I soldered the ground and accessory power from both gauges together.
Grounded it outside the driver's fuse panel.
Powered it from the 75X, under the dash.

I soldered the violet wire to the blue wire from the pre-cat 02 sensor harness. It is black before the harness, then after the connector it turns blue.
I tapped after the harness because that's what Autometer's directions said to do.

Also, when I started it this A.M., the car was shaking, but the car seemed to drive OK. Weird...

Tapped into black, gauge does fluctuate. Weird it had a different reading from same wire...

Default There's two wires. One may mislead you, the other is correct.

I tried to get a picture of a wiring diagram for you, but the picture poster wouldn't take it for some odd reason. For a '00 1.8T, the wire you want to tap into should be grey(at the sensor), brown on the other side of the connector. At the o2 sensor there's a black with a white stripe, don't know where you got a black wire from, unless you have a different year car?
