failed rear anti-swaybar uplinks...
... I was having my bilsteins installed today and the shop noticed that my rear swaybar uplink bushings were dead at the connection to the swaybar.
I'm running the neuspeed 19mm rear bar with the updated subframe supports and custom rear swaybar spacers.
Has anyone else experienced failure of these uplinks?
I ended up having the shop replace the uplinks with OEM replacements as thats all I could get in short notice.

I have your exact setup and experienced the same problems.
Call Blaufergnugen in WI and ask for the metal units to replace your plastic ones. Something like $75 for the pair.

96 and 97 cars had the metal uplinks...
... 98 and on, I believe come with the plastic uplinks.
You can get the metal uplinks from ECS tuing. Also, check out rob saudiworld site for more info on the uplinks. If you follow the link and scroll down, you'll see the two links... metal and plastic.

Thanks for the info guys. I've got a '97 A4 so should be ok but will check it out next time it is on a hoist.
Also a good point was mentioned about having the bushings regreased every year....think I will add it to my yearly inspection :-)
Thanks again,
Cheers from downunder
Bruce.
