FAWK! i just got a ticket to go to the cali state smog ref !!
i was pullin outta McD's & he waited for me to pass then pulled in behind & raped me
he said he pulled me over because my car was "all raced out"......guess thats beter than riced out....
what do do?
im thinkin hope for a no-show @ court & if it comes down to it, do two late night weekend swaps
the best part.....*cop lookin @ the FMIC*..."whats that, the oil cooler? yup"
*lookin @ the water injection pump* "& that?" fuel filter..
he even bought that the cat was the OEM, & that i just had the heat shields removed
he even looked right past the PCV catch can & never said a word....though it is kinda hidden
& what did he finally got me for?.....no carb sticker for the intake on the PES T-28 kit!!!
& no he was not messin with me, he had walked back to his car & it was almost over when he came back & said he forgot to ask about the carb sticker for the intake...thats when he got unhappy & said i have a smog violation & will need to remove it & visit a state smog ref

Yup, they are pretty strick. 2 options - see if you can work with them and certify your setup...
unfortunately this means the current setup has to pass the sniffer test, and I don't have high hopes seeing what kind of A/F ratios the kit is using.
Other, which you already started, is putting the car back to stock. Then if they ask you about why you got the ticket, you can say you had an aftermarket filter - and show them the filter kit only - do not bring up the turbo. You may get a sticker for carb excempt for the filter, which is all you need in the future in case you get pulled over again
Then of course, there's the regular biennial sniffer test.
