Default the feel of lost power!!

I have a medley of question so here goes.....first off.....when I slow to just around 800-1000 RPM and press the accelerator pedal, I can feel the bang into gear. Feels like the whole engine is twisting. This usually occurs when I am slowing to a stop light and it turns green. Next, I feel my boost isn't what it use to be. What are some things I can look at that are blatant? I hear the turbos, but it just doesnt sound right. When turbos are going bad, what are tell tale signs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just a little info....My car is chipped (GAIC X). THanks

Default Did you try the A6 forum?

Also tell what year and I guess it's automatic..... Usually when a turbo goes bad you hear some kind of amplified boost whine. Some people say a dentist drill or police siren that is loud or getting louder. Once mine got loud enough to hear over the radio they blew out thick white smoke....Also I had NO power, very noticable! I would check your TBB and/ F-hose if you haven't replaced them since you've chipped. I blew both hoses the first month I X chipped. Good luck.

Default Check your motor mounts and you hoses -if u r getting full boost it isnt hose

check WG vacuum lines and the WG actuator- boost leaks are hard to find and will cause turbo to sound diff. as it spins up higher and leaks sometimes whistle blending w/turbo noise. the clunk sounds like the pass. side motor mount is bad or starting to leak, do you see the shifter move more than usual?

there is a little more vibration in the cabin area. Should I just VagCom it to see if I am losing boost somewhere?

well they aren't really loud and I cannot hear them over the radio. Even with the windows down. Where does the TBB usually crack at? Underneath? Hey When you chipped your car, were you able to hear the turbos more then from stock?

Default No, volume was the same......

But my turbos were on the way out. The TBB tears on the bottom side right in front of the clamp, you can't see it unless you remove it. I went through a few of them...until I finally got fed up and replaced with a Saamco. I tore one TBB in 4 days, PITA. I can say if your turbo blows your definatly going to know it. I'm banking on a TBB or some other leak for you! Positive thinking...
