Default Few questions about Neu-Bilsteins.

Should I move the perches on the shocks myself or leave it to the shop? If I do it, how do I do it and in which direction do I move the rings as to lower the car? Is there anything I should look for after the installation? (having the 19 mm Neuspeed rearsway installed at the same time.) like squeaks or rattles?

TIA

If you're gonna take the car to a shop to get your setup installed, just have them do it, easier

Default move the perches down to lower the car

I absltgreek...let the shop do it unless you've installed a suspension before. It pretty much requires removing everything to move the perch. Most shops don't use a spring compressor that works on the car. And if they did, they could only do the fronts on the car. The rear definitely has to be removed to be lowered.

Default Re: Few questions about Neu-Bilsteins.

That setup on my roommates '97 made it way low in the front with the perch at the lowest setting. The car bottomed out on any speed bump/hump we encountered. The highest setting on the Bil's is still lower than stock, and looks "right" IMO.

BTW, we did that swap, it wasn't that hard at all despite not having a manual to work from. Total time was something like 4.5hrs from start to finish...We compressed all the springs with them off the car, the A4 is nice like that (whole suspension unit comes out complete).
