Default Finally took the car to the dyno...

After waiting 2 years for an AWD dyno in Miami, someone finally came up with a bright idea of having one here. This was on a T-28 chip(T3/T4E turbo)@ 17psi. Poorly tuned. I did richen up a little after this run. 252hp at the wheels. Dynojet.

Ps. Hey John, you got some competition in the untuned category. =)

Default Nice...

Are you running 440 injectors?

Did you do any datalogging with a VAG-COM? I'm curious at what point the injectors were maxing out, or if they are maxing out.

Default I can't imagine 440's maxing out at 250whp. I know that there is at least one guy on the Tex

running close to 400whp on 440's. I'm sure that he's got to be running hella fuel pressure.

Default around 375 crank hp's the 440's become questionable.....

but then again so does alot of other parts.

Default dyno calibrated?

whp seems high for 17 psi. i have a power spreadsheet, so I input for 1.8T:

6000 rpm
90% VE (likely lower)
90% IC efficiency (lilely lower on dyno)
75% compressor eff (about right for To4E)
.5 psi pressure drop at IC.
0 psi drop in intake
75F ambient, sealevel
17 psi boost
.5 bsfc
12:1 fuel

I get 266 eng hp, at 201 g/s flow, 92F in the manifold. 332 cc/min at ea inj. Mabe he's got it to plot expected engine values?

The graph shows STD correction and not SAE....so it will read slightly higher.
