First Vag-Com log graph of my PES G2 - what do you think of the Timing?

Still practicing getting the excel graphs transfered over to a better readable JPEG file, so quality still a little rough (if you can't tell it's sensor 1 from both banks that dip in the beginning). I guess I was surprised the timing was pulling back so much. Anyway, comments are welcome. Also, let me know what vag logs you'd be curious seeing from the PES G2 unit. This run was a 2000-redline (although sampling didn't get in the last few hundred rpms) in 3rd gear run. I was logging 3 blocks at once, and I have discovered this really cuts down on the sampling rate. Such a fun toy to play with.

Log intake air temps. Then you may find a correlation as to why you are seeing upto -25 BTDC
which means 25 ATDC, and as you mentioned pullback. Log knock sensors too while your at it.

VAG values are BTDC. A positive number is actual BTDC or negative TDC
Kinda confusing at first. There is a log to see timing pull back from knock and temperature I believe. He may be able to correlate with that. What I expect is the intake temperature is rising rapidly with boost, and the timing is getting pulled back proportionally to save the engine. And maybe his 02's are indicating programming to full rich to fight detonation too. In other words, a 20 shot of NOS in there will probably yield about 50hp more or so

Thanks both for the discussion - I confirmed that negative on that block means advance
with the gurus on the PES G2 board, and that those readings are completely w/n spec for the PES G2 unit - I just have to relearn everything I thought I knew about internal combustion engines with these new toys (G2 and VAG-COM) (of course this was on 1960-70 era big block V-8's but 25 degrees of timing advance - DAMN.
Audiboy, I will take your advice and check out air intake temps as another benchmark of what's going on under the hood with the G2 - would be curious to see that as well.
