The 30k3 is a new K04 chip for non-DBW 1.8T A4s. It just arrived today and I just had to compare it to the standard 30A. The new chip is great. It is reprogrammed to have instant boost and gobs of torque. It is a safety chip, so HP are reduced compared to the 30A, but low end torque, especially partial throttle torque is greatly increased. The chip makes my car extremely enjoyable around town. Thanks to <a href="http://www.awe-tuning.com">AWE</a> for reprogramming one of my older chips.

I would recommend this chip to anyone who has a K04 and a non-DBW 1.8T.

I run 30k3 everyday. G made that for me as I wanted a lower boost chip. I see 15 psi instantly from any RPM. Your right about a small power hit as the Boost is lower than others. To me the power loss is minimal. I like the flat power band of K3 as well. Plus. With k3 The turbo is run within its KKK spec of 15 psi.
