H&R Coilovers Opinions and thoughts please? I am looking to have them installed Wednesday and....
just wanted opinions and experiences on this setup, and any other recommendations ASAP - so I can change my mind if it comes down to it. I read the post below with Bruce having all his control arms replaced, that does not sound to good... let me know what you guys think.. Thanks

The H&R Coilovers have been on my car about a month now. This is my perception of how they feel, and in no way am I asserting that's they way they really work.
It seems to me that the damping rates on these are set to be very stiff on slow compression and rebound (general momentum changes and impacts from bumps and road irregularities when driving slowly).
However, fast compression and rebound seems to be very compliant (therefore, fairly comfortable on highways even on road irregularities).
So, basically, fast smooth turns almost feel like a late model Corvette would, and road bumps and irregularities are no problem as long as you attack them with some speed.
If you must drive on rough surfaces slowly all the time, you may not like them.
Just my OPINION on how they FEEL...

Thanks for the info, but ... (H&R spring rates info!)
the reason I asked was that in the past (earlier this year I think) a few people with the coil-over kit for the S4 complained that it was not as stiff or maybe that the springs were not as stiff as they wanted (I think the damping was OK) so some one (a company I think, this is from memory) got together with H&R to produce a slightly different kit tunned for performance.
At the time I was not looking for a coilover kit so I did not pay much attention, but now I am so I researched H&R webpage and they do have a new set of coil-overs, the Ultra Performance kit. After a few more phonecalls I got the following info:
H&R does not manufacture the shocks, only the springs. They did not want or could not tell me who makes them. But the spring rates are as follows:
A4 Quattro Coilover: 460 Rear, 430 Front
A4 Quattro/S4 Ultra Performance: 610 Rear, 595 Front.
I think they kept the same shocks, do any of you know for sure?
I just ordered the Ultra Performance from tirerack but they are out of stock. I hope I made the right decision!
