Has anyone ever tried a MBC instead of a chip?
If the car takes in all the necessary variables from all the sensors on the motor, it should be able to compensate for an increase in boost up to the stock fuel systems capabilities, like 14.5 psi, if I'm not mistaken.

Boost is just 1 part of making power. You still have fuel maps (afr) and adv timing.
When changing boost you need to change the timing. Changing the fuel maps will also increase the power since the stock chip runs pretty rich.
Without a chip and just a MBC you will only be able to run 12psi on a dbw.
So stop being a cheap *** and buy a chip that is made for your car. You weren't one when you decided to buy the A4 so why do it now when you want to mod it.

Hack a chip what the hell are you talking about?
All my chips that I have had are custom tuned for my car only staight from Garrett of GIAC. Odd thing is I dont need any bull**** since no other tuner has even come close to my 14.29 at 97 mph on a damn K03 A4 quattro.
