Has anyone ever turboed a 2.8 12V

I LOVE it when people can read! ;-)
Rob K. is Rob_K or something like that. His AIM is something different, which I have but am not going to give out, as A)he's hardly on, and B)its not my place to give that out...

Re: I'm around
Mostly I am curious to what you did for a manifold, where you mounted the turbo and did you go with a single or dual setup.
I have turboed inline motors but never a V. I didn't know if there would be any issues with an uneven load on the motor or just located farther back to the y. I see you have a 90 and I am not as fimilar with the layout of the engine bay.
I guess mostly I am looking to see if there are any parts I can scavage from other cars to save myself some time and energy. Also what where your biggest unseen delays?

This should answer some questions

Its kind of similar to the turbo layout on a wrx. I originally ran it with stock headers, but currently am running TDL headers. Longest delay was wating 3 months for the front bumper. Check my picture poster for more pictures of my setup.
Nothing new here, been very busy with my other car. My brother's 2.5rs just ran a 14.2@96mph and is as far as I know the fastest non-turbo subaru in NA. I'm looking at purchasing a TIG to start the whole supercharger project.

That gives me a good idea. Thanks for posting that up.
Two questions...
How much boost did you start with
How do I get to your picture poster?
Alright three, does your intake run through your fender?
Congardulations on the RS timeslip
Eric

Re: This should answer some questions
On stock internals, I ran up to 10psi and accidentally ran 14psi without any damage. The key to turbocharging the 12v is in the tuning. When I was running additional injectors before I switched to the TEC-II, I probably should not have been running 10psi, 8 would have been safer as it would occasionally knock at 10. The intercooler plumbing runs through the fender on the passenger side. I still am running the air filter directly on the turbo compressor as space is tight on that side of the car.

My picture poster
