Have VAG-COM, chipped ECU, spare ECU. What should I log?

More info...

'97 1.8Tqm, MTM ECU currently installed, and I have a spare that could go in at anytime. 101K on this motor. I know there's the "butt dyno" log that might prove interesting stock vs. chipped....what other variables would be interesting to know? Timing? Can't do boost since I'm nDBW. Anything else?

I'm also interested to log before/after as I do some routine maintenance and possibly a few mods. For example, fuel filter (I'm still on the original filter!!), spark plugs, colder air intake (w/JD heatshield), and possibly test pipe. What measuring blocks might I log to look for some before/after difference? BTW, I'm not expecting to see dramatic differences here, especially with the maintenance items. I'm really just curious to see if there's any change before/after the fuel filter, as someone mentioned that a clogged filter could result in running slightly lean.

Comments? Thanks

Andy

www.ross-tech.com has a section on popular things you can do/log with vag-com.

some ideas would be:

long term fuel trim
timing
