Having some lifters replaced tomorrow - any advice???
I'm having ten of the twenty lifters replaced tomorrow to hopefully eliminate the bad ticking I've been getting on idle. Audi only OK'd ten of the twenty lifters to be replaced.
I think the dealer's going to do the two aft cylinders, cuase it sounds like the ticking is coming from there. Either way, I think I'll just tell them it's still making the noise after they're done so I can get the other ten replaced.
Anyway - is there anything I should tell them to check for? ie - any other parts that may have been damaged by the ticking lifters??
TIA!
