HELP...Bad Gas Mileage 99.5 A4 2.8 Quattro - Dealer "fixed" the following:
Some of you saw my post from Monday about the check engine light issue. Dealer called and I picked the car up yesterday. They found a bad engine speed sensor and replaced it; did a vacuum check and found no leak; removed all plugs - fouled out and replaced all 6; tested fuel injectors and found internal fault/badly clogged and replaced all 6. I asked if they checked the catalytic converter and the O2 sensor just to be sure all was well and they assured me it was.
Now the problem is that the car still seems like it's dragging. Worse, I drove 30 miles home yesterday and 32 miles to work today (flat highway miles) and have burned 1/4 tank of gas. There is something seriously wrong. Tires are fine, 93 octane gas in the tank, obviously the spark plugs are in good shape, no lead foot issue. Y'all got any suggestions?
Thanks!

Take off negative cable for like 30 seconds. Then put it back but you'll have to unlock your radio
and reset your power window convenience (one touch). You're just trying to reset the ECU this way in case there is a stored long term fuel trim that eventually will correct it self after so many times starting and many miles of driving. The dealer should have reset the ECU when they cleared the codes, but sometimes it doesn't happen. Is the bucking and stumbling gone? That could have been the plugs fouled out by something else, and I doubt those where the injectors. It may happen again. Keep your receipts

Dealer indicates they reset rediness code and test drove...
for 10 miles...all was well. It bucked 3 times going up a hill about 2 miles from the dealership, but no more after that. And yeah, I've got my receipts. Thanks for the reply!
