Help: knock sensor placement on '97-'99 1.8t
I was just looking at my engine today wondering if I installed them in the right spot. Since I'm using a 2l block and have never tore down a 1.8t I had to guess where they went.
Does anyone have a pic or pics of where they should be exactly? (green and blue)
Thanks

I should know this.......I'm doing one too.......
not off the top of my head though, sorry.
Once you've got everything else bolted up to the drivers side of the block, there's only the two holes left though. Check the torque spec, very important, and you should also be able to find front/rear differences installing(one should be longer).
If all else fails, find an AW'er with one & schedule a drive-by, so you can look at an assembled one. ;-)

well, my problem is that the ABA block has something like 15 holes that I could use.
Hmm.
Maybe xr4tic has some ideas.
