Help with my APR Emcs type 1 chip
 

Hello my name is Dustin and what I need help with is reprogramming my apr chip with a home programmer. The ecu I had was equipped with apr emcs 1 chip installed in a VW ecu part number was 4b0 907 018 p. I have a 2001 audi a4 1.8tq with a 4b0 907 018 m. As you can see both ecu are the same aside from the last letter p vs m. The vw ecu even worked in my audi with all my apr tunes ( stock stage 1 and valet ) and it all was switchable via the cc stock. Only issue i had was the esp and abs light would stay on... probably becuase the vw was fwd and my audi is quattro with esp. I thought it would be as simple as have an electronics shop remove my chip and reinstall it into my audi ecu . After I installed the apr chip in my audi ecu my car wouldn't start and vagcom could not communicate with my ecu . I then had my Apr chip removed and the stock audi chip reinstalled . My car then functioned properly again as a stock ecu would. I called my local apr dealer and they said to contact apr directly as they could not help me. I think what i need to do is reflash the apr chip with the tune that is the same as my audi ecu ( 4b0 907 018 m). Does anyone have a home programmer I can buy or rent? Or know of a shop in BC canada I could go to to have my situation sorted out . I don't want to just throw away my chip as it was costly once upon a time ... please someone help me out !
