JE are Forged.
Rods Chrome Moly
HPC ceramic Coatings
Inlet Manifold was Matched to head.
It was Blanced all together with the Aluminium Flywheel & Clutch.
There was some adjustment to the Crank, but not a great deal, it was to be expected with all the after market stuff..

Couple questions about your cams...
Sorry for the abundance of questions...
Where did you get them from?
Also if you don't mind, how much did you pay for them?
Do you know how much HP was gained from those alone?
Would just adding cams require any other engine work to be balanced/changed?
Did they take any top end speed away from your car?
Thanks in advance,
David

The Shrick cams sacrifice the low-end performance (~ 3500 rpm & lower) but add to the top end...
by as much as 15 to 20Hp (theoretically). But Lucas can give you empirical data instead.

What is that based on?
The overlap isn't that different and you can change it easily. You shouldn't lose any bottom end, and the flow in the top end is much better than stock. The turbo outlet become the flow limiter.

Not bad HP gain for a drop in mod.....
Still interested in how much and where to get them.
I wonder if they have an adjustable degreed cam?
Maybe one that can be adjusted for more mid-range or top end if one wanted?
Hmmmmm....

I haven't experienced it first hand but when I was researching it for a possible upgrade I was told.
by a few European folks running the Shrick cams that their bottom performance suffered quite a bit. They advised against it for everyday street use but gave it a thumbs up for track use since the revs are kept high majority of the time.
