High flow air filter question
I know there have been posts about this before, but they are pretty old, so I thought I would ask now. What is the best bet for a high flow filter? Do products like SpiralMax really work?

K&Ns flowed best in tests done years ago.
David Vizard, a British author of a number of performance tuning books, and a guy who can pick up a horsepower or two here and there, tested a variety of air filters (for a sidedraft Weber DCOE carb) on a flow bench. K&N filters flowed the best.
I've since read elsewhere that K&N filters don't filter particles especially well.
I use K&N filters on a couple (non-Audi) high performance engines.
YMMV.
