High octane fuel question....
Right now I run with 91 Octane gas. If I filled up on say 104 or maybe even higher, what would that do to my engine? Would it clean out my combustion chambers, clean off deposits on valves ? Just trying to find out what effects would come of doing this. Thanks for any info

i dont think so...if you ran high octane it would prob run worse than recomneded..
because your timing etc is not ready for it so you wouldnt gain anything and you would prob lose power...if you want to get rid of deposits they sell stuff at gas stations that i run once every 2-3 months...but in the long run if you switched from 91 to 93 there would be less crap (i think)

If the car doesn't require higher octane, using it won't help.
if you have knock sensors, higher octane will reduce their work, and increase timing.
But if the car isn't designed to do that, then it'll do you no good.

2-3 gal of xylene or toluene per tankful will clean internals. 4 tankfuls and it will be clean
This was an unexpected by product of running it in another car 3 gal xylene per 10 gals will pop octane to abt 100 and xylene and toluene have fastest flame fronts and great combustion enhancing properties. xylene has abt 117 octane and toluene abt 114-115. just dont get it on paint or u will have no paint. All you need is a paint store and you can have race gas.
BTW using race gas on a race course will have the benefit of cccooling the piston and preventing detonation ans the retard of timing that comes from it, so it can have a benefit for even stock tuned cars in heat and strain.
