Uhmm, what do you mean by stock boost? Isn't a stock chipped car running at stock boost?

Default Is your ECU stock or modified? Are you trying to run the same full boost you see at low RPM's

all the way to high RPM's? For example if you see 1.2 bar at low to mid rpms, Did you want to see that at high rpms also?

It's a function of how much the turbo can pump out without spinning it at supersonic destructive speeds. At high rpms, when the engine demands more air, a small turbo just cannot keep up the volume requirement so it runs out of steam, and eventually the boost tapers off.

To be more specific, what boost are you seeing that you would like to maintain at hgh rpm?

Default I actually just want to run the STOCK max boost CONSTANTLY....

I have the stock ecu.....

Also, does the internal waste diaphram of the KKK have spring inside? Since that is the original way of controlling boost.... I wonder what that spring is set to?

Default Your stock ecu should be holding the boost to redline.

Stock should be around 10-11 psi.

Default Sure it does

but the max boost has to be much lower all the way across the board.

Default Then you'd make less power, all in the name of OCD

Read "Maximum Boost" or "Turbocharging!"...All will become clear soon...

Default Peak power will be further up in the rpms, tq will drop off

but will be more flat then a high peak. I have dyno'd my car at different boost level on the same day since I run a EBC with a chip. When I bumped it up from 14.5psi to 18psi my tq jumped 22 lbs at the wheels but only gained 4 hp and it all peaked earlier in the rpms. This is an example of my 2 liter K04 on 87/91 octane chip making between 180's and 190's at the wheels.

Default The stock K03 can't flow enough air to maintain 15 psi to redline, so above 5,000 rpm it drops

otherwise you would un the turbo in an inefficient range, and create lots of hot air w/o moving any more molecules of air, and would suffer detonation (intercooler wouldn't keep up) and turbo failure.

You need a larget turbo such as a Garret GT25 or a Turbonetics T25, T28 or T3 or T04 to flow 15 psi to redline efficiently. At that point you are looking at 280-300 hp.
