How can you tell if your clutch is about to go?
I've had my A4 for 20k+ miles and I think my clutch is about to go. The release point is right at the top (i.e. when you let go of the clutch). Has the A4s clutch always released this far towards the top?
I've tried the second gear stall test and that works fine. I engage the parking brake when the car is not moving and the put it in second great. The car stalls like it suppose to.

it goes when...
you drive in higher RPM and the car doesn't seem to move, but RPM keeps climbing. Audi's clutch is pretty durable - unless of course, you like riding the clutch all the time.

hmm, friction point moving
That doesn't mean your clutch is necessarily going. I don't know how to move it back down on an Audi though. There is a some chance your are losing the clutch hydraulics, but the engagement point moving up doesn't necessarily mean your clutch itself is going.
