how much $$$ wil i get set back if i want my 2001 S4 6spd into the 12's?

The right race chip and exhaust should get you in the 12's

Default Well that is pretty much automatic since a fast car is not fast without a good driver.
I have seen plenty of fast cars go slow because of the lack of driving skills.

Default an X or XR chip with an exhaust (and probably downpipes) will get you into the 12s
1200 for the chip and spare ecu, 600-1200 for an exhaust. and piggie pipes to 1500 bucks for downpipes. Plus the cost of racegas. Check out http://www.s4biturbo.com/timeslips.cgi for timeslips and mods.
