How much power can the 1.8T engine safely and reliably handle? Need car to last 70,000 miles!

How much power can the 1.8T engine safely and reliably handle? Need car to last 70,000 miles!

If you want it to last about 140,000 then I think that 250 is the limit...

...but you and everyone else will know when I've raised either bar.

There are lots of chipped A4's running around now with 70K.

Don't worry, these are strong motors.

It all depends on you, change the oil every 3kmi (mobil 1), proper warm up, and cool downs it will

I've got 80K + miles on my car....

everything is falling apart, but the engine is running just fine. It had a chip and exhaust put on at 25K miles, and a lot of other stuff after 50K miles.

Billy on VWVortex has had 302whp for the last 10kmi and 344whp for the last 2K

If he can run for any length of time on 400hp you should be able to run 300hp for the life of your cars body. he has not removed anything from the valve cover to the oilpan.
