I know Audi says 0-60mph w/ manual is 7.8s. How much improvement should be expected for just chipping and nothing else?

Default I would agree with Ash, about 1s (...more)

Even though my 2001 GIAC feels faster, I was not as impressed as many others expressed. The power is certainly not explosive.

I had a 1995 Eagle Talon whose power and weight figures compared with a GIAC chip 2001 A4 (if I recall about 210 hp and 215 lbs-ft for the 2.0 Turbo Talon vs 210 hp and 246 lbs-ft for the GIAC 2001 A4 1.8T) and the Talon felt faster.

That said, it is certainly worth chipping. Drivability has also improved.
