How strong are Silicone Hoses?

Maybe you should've kept a closer eye on those engine mounts?

Looks like fatigue from repetetive buckling in the same spot.

Where was it installed?

maybe a hump hose is needed in it's spot.

Or possibly the tubing it was clamped onto had a sharp edge that cut through from the inside.
