Default I got a new MAF today...

... dealer looked high and low to find the cuase of my negative deviation fault code but everything looked good for them. In the end, I pleaded with the tech to swap the MAF.

I've got the new MAF in now with the car in stock mode. Should I just drive around unchipped for a couple days to make sure the MAF is ok or drop the chipped ecu in right away and give the MAF a run.

Default Did the fault code occur with the stock chip and old MAF?

If so, run it for a few days and see what happens.

If it only happened with the chip in, then you'll have to put the chip in to see what happens.

Default No, not really, thats why I want to put the chipped ECU in...

... to see if it will throw a code still. I just wondered if there was any harm to the MAF if I put the chip in right away.

Putting the chip in won't harm the MAF.
