Rods,pistons,valves,springs,etc.. I am wondering If anyone knows brand names of any of these parts. The materials used like steel or titanium. Any technical specs would be appreciated.

Default Definately no titanium parts here.....

On my 1.8T, the crank is cast, not forged, not sure about the pistons, but I think they are cast as well. The rods are forged.

The exhaust valves are sodium filled.

As far as brand names, I think Mahle makes the pistons, and there's a couple different suppliers for the rod and main bearings too.

That's about all I can tell you.
