Those would not be the first 2 motors from that company to go.

Default The 1st was a known wrist pin problem buyer wasnt told about, 2nd horribly bent rod

I am also aware of at least 2 **** I5's they threw out. People need to do some research on Eagle or Euro Spec rods. This is not an expensive kit (unless you ruin 2 motors) and it looks like you get even less than you pay for.

Default I ordered one of their 2 liter's back in 2002, but then decided to go the custom way

with Dynamic Racing Solutions instead.

Default I used JE pistons, carillo rods, & the crank they sent me....

It's been so long, I don't know the specs on the crank, sorry. I'm happy (& feeling lucky) to report mine has been running for over a month/2000+ miles, with a T3/T4E turbo running 1.4 bar boost now. I had a trusted machinist assemble the bottom end, and he took 6 months to do it right. Only problems are a couple minor tuning glitches, and the oil pan I put on seems to have a slight(@1/2 qt per 300 miles) crack at the lowest point. Previous owner must've bottomed out.

I haven't dyno'd yet, still waiting on suspension & rims I want--in addition to fixing that oil leak, replacing the radiator, & some additional welding to re-enforce the front some(don't ask).

John, I'm gonna do an imitation of your rear bumper pic, "tune me" ;-D

Default :) It's pretty hard to screw up a crank....

as long as it's brand new.

If you had a machinist check out the bottom end, I'm sure it's OK.

Default Yea, my thoughts exactly. One other thing I should mention......

The assembly was balanced, & the previous setup had the Unorthodox underdrive pulley on it. With the new setup, I went with a lwfw AND the underdrive--something I've read on the forums that doesn't work--I've got no problems from it! Talk about a happy revving engine.....;-)
