...I am actually looking at a shifter kart now. I tried one last fall and all I can say is HOLY $HIT! Those things make cars look like a friggin joke. I have never accelerated, braked or cornered that hard in anything....period. If I can fine somewhere closer than Middletown, NY to race it, I will choose the shifter kart.

Shifter kart = $5000
A season worth of parts = $1000

There is no way I can touch a car I am going to be challenged by and have fun with for that little cash. I will still be at LRP and NHIS instructing for the QCUSA, BMWCCA and SCDA but I think the kart thing is the best way to go.
