man.. i knew this was coming. bought gt25-r and their manifold during the summer knowing i was gonna replace my k3 turbo.
taking k3 turbo out of the tt is very very anoying and time consuming.. with lots of cuts and bleeding.
the k3 is out and it is time for the new turbo to go in. the turbo and the atp manifold does not bolt to each other properly. there is an interference problem. if i rotate the turbo - the plumbing is gonna be screwed up with 180degree turns for the cold side intake, cold side out, and hotside out.
so either i grind off parts of the manifold and hope i don't over do it, or the turbo, or both. this really sucks.

you sound pretty lost....
it's k03 BTW. and how could you not know that replacing the turbo on TT is a bitch? and was this is a kit? it sounds like you just bought parts and nothing else? You need to give us more for us to help you.

Do you have any other parts for the upgrade?
I wouldnt just go and slap that turbo on there.
Can you maybe take a few pictures of the turbo and the manifold and what the problem is it will make it easier.

are you sure you bought the right stuff for a transverse engine?
call ATP about this. You should have test fit the turbo to manifold before taking the K03 out.

the gap is too great for me to use a spacer between turbo and manifold.. there won't be any thread left for the bolt
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/15237/problem2.jpg"><br>
side view of the turbo hitting the manifold. i don't think rotation the turbo housing 90degree clockwise will make a diff. and i really don't want that due to the tight angle it will create

when the manifold is rotated, it fits pretty well...

but rotating the manifold means all the stud holes out upsidedown. the one on the right is oem manifold.

i've sent them an email to see if they have any other manifold
i asked them for a manfold that fits the turbo i bought from them. i don't want it to fit upside down, i need it to fit in the correct orientation
