Default If I pull out my tranny, what do I need to reinstall in order to roll the car around?

I need to remove my flywheel and clutch from my car, and then get my car off of the lift for a week before I put it back together...

I forget how much needs to be removed in order to get the tranny out. Once I have it out, I need to put the car back to the ground and roll it away from the lift to free it up for other use.

What parts that I removed in order to remove the tranny need to be reinstalled before I can roll the car around?

I think I only need to remove the rear tranny mounts, and not the rear engine mounts, right? Do I need to put those mounts back in? Which means the whole tranny needs to go back in?

If the tranny is out of the car, do the rear mounts really need to be in there to support the motor, or are they there more to support the tranny when it's in place?

I recall jacking up on the front of the engine (oil pan) to tilt the engine back so the tranny would come off. This would make it seem like there's not a need for rear support since that action is the exact opposite.

I can't find any good under car/engine shots to see exactly what I'm imagining, but here's the rear tranny mounts which I think is all that needs to be removed to get the tranny out. I believe the engine is still fully supported, as is the suspension, so putting the car to the ground should not be an issue. I suppose I could reinstall the "DTS", and I might have to support the drive shaft so it doesn't drag on the ground.

Another bad angle...

Default Looks like you got some good answers there.

Dont worry about the motor, it is supported by the 3 mounts. I would just remove the rear drive shafts and wire up the front half shafts so they dont drag.
