im taking the injectors out of the car...is there a recommended manual cleaning method?

Default im taking the injectors out of the car...is there a recommended manual cleaning method?
is it even necessary? while they're out i'd like to attend to this if possible.

I've had mine cleaned in the car before, ran the engine on a chemical of some kind.

Default How about sonicating them?
I believe UrS4 over on the 12v forum does a sonication of injectors for 12v owners (maybe he doesn't anymore, but he DID). I imagine all he did was put them in a wet sonicating bath.... I was planning on doing it to mine soon, as I have access to such a sonicator at work.

yeah that would be good, but i dont have access to a sonic cleaning tub.

you could hook them up to a 9V battery and spray a cleaner through them

Default Did that recently using my lawn tractor for power, a big can of gumout and a vacuum cap to adapt the
carb cleaner tube to the injector.

Certainly didn't hurt anything, patterns looked good on all 6 when done.
