To install K04 or not too......
Ok, not sure what to do. I have a '97 a4 w/ approx 140k on it. I have the awe K04 sitting in my room, debating onto install or not. If i do install, what else can i do to the car to make it more powerfull ie: fmic, pistons, cams etc etc? Is it worth doing those things w/ a K04? Or should i sell K04 and try to save for Stage III? Thanks guys.

If you do any more than driving the car on the street, you'll want the FMIC.
Regardless, you'll want an upgraded clutch package, and a LWFW will further enhance the engines power delivery.
The K04 setup is a very streetable one. aside from that, and the APR stage 3, there's not much else out there currently.

No they wont. Only time you want to change pistons is if you are rebuilding the engine
or changing the compression ratio. Cams will only help if you are pushing more air flow then the stock ones can handle, since turbo cams dont really add much more then just a higher lift.

In the engine?
I would have to say about $15K+ with real shop labor prices. That includes the fuel setup and custom fmic(for sale). Add another $1200+ for the custom 3" exhaust if I had to buy it new. Right now I am also adding a new equal length manifold and 3" thick FMIC with 2.5" IC pipe straight to the throttle body. By the time that is all done I will have spent about another $2500-$3000 with expenses to get the car there and back.
