Default Intersted in getting forged pistons and rods for my large turbo setup, Have questions.

1. How neccessary is building a 1.8T when you plan on running either the GT-25/ T-28 kit?

2. How much power are the stock internals good for, I am told 350 hp, is this correct?

3.Where could I pick up such items online?

4.How much increased duribility would this give me if any?

Default honestly, unless you are going all custom or are in the engine anyway, not worth it...

the stock internals can take any prebuilt kit (within reason) out there, (thinking apr, pes, etc) without issue...

the cost of the parts will not be cost effective really... not unless you are rebuilding the bottem end anyway... and even then....

Default I was actually interested in doing it for the sake of doing it......

and for all the hands on learning I would get. I'm sure that it may sound stupid, but....
Consequently cost effective was out the window when I started. I will have more money in my car then what I paid for it easily when I am done.

if you got money to burn, go for it... but you should go custom to really justify it all!

Default I've got mine almost back together......

Without the turbo kit that was invested last year, just the engine work, I'm hitting around $5600--cost. Keep in mind, I've done 90% of the work myself, too. If you'd be interested in purchasing it, make an offer. Otherwise, contact me via email in regards to specific internal components.

Where's your car at & where are you?

Default My car is back in the United States right now, I am temporarily in Japan finishing up my 6 month

deployment. I won't be back until December or January... I think I'll look into though. Thanks
