Default J&E Piston Sizes = Proprietary Info?

I called PES today to ask them the size of my pistons and they told me it's propietary info and they won't give me them. They are saying Overland or Eurospec (same company) who built my motor won't give them the size of the J&E pistons in my motor. Since when are piston sizes proprietary info? Or am I just stupid? please enlighten me

Default They won't give you the bore size?

or are you looking for other piston info?

They should give you the bore size, Eurospec even lists the piston/bore sizes on thier website (although it's no gaurantee that's what you have in your car)

Default bore size is pretty common....

in fact, I can't even think of a reason for it to be proprietary info. Maybe it's because they don't know

What about compression ratio? I don't think I would let anyone build me a motor if they couldn't give me details on it.

If I had to guess, it's probably the 82mm, 8.5:1 compression stroker kit ESS sells.

You'll have to pull the head to be sure.

Default PES IS SHADY

Below is an email I recieved today from the company that built my motor which PES told me would not talk to me or sell me anything. This is only one of the many horror stories PES has put me through.

The motor was built with 82.50mm pistons 8.5:1 compression J&E forged

We do only sell them in sets. If you have one damaged piston did it also damage the bore ?

You might want to check to see if J&E will sell you the one piston if you send in your old one.
