Default just bought my 2001 audi a4 1.8t quattro

This is the first audi i've owned, let alone the first car that wasn't japanese made. I sold my 1993 mazda rx7, and bought a 2001 audi a4 1.8t on the 10th of this month. Anyway, i just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Default Welcome! I am sure you will find Audiworld very addictive. :-)

When are you taking delivery of your car? The hardest part is the wait.

Default Thanks for the response!!

I drove it off the lot, on the 10th (tuesday). Santorin blue pearl effect, ambition onyx leather interior, quattro celebration and sport package, I could go on and on, basically i got everything i could, besides the navigation system, and 6 disc changer. I'm going to start some mild mods, when i break the car in, probably after the 5000 mile mark. I actually dont know what the break in period is. Any help? Yeah as far as the audiworld site, this is where i did most of my two months worth of research. I loved the way the car looked: exterior, interior.. etc etc..but i never test drove it, well Tuesday night.. the saleman took me around a corner at 65 and the car stuck like glue. although i was nervous, because of the way he drove it. Needless to say it was like my first time driving stick again. The car i sold them was a stick too, drove it to the dealer etc etc..I was just nervous. I Abosolutly love the car. =) and thanks to the audiworld site i abosorbed a ton of info about the car.

--Are there any audi clubs in the so.cal area?

Break-in is 1000 miles. Stay under 4k rpm and let the oil warm up before you get over 3k rpm.

Default You are very fortunate that you didn't have to wait for yours.

I got mine in January and I am still waiting to take delivery. Sales manager originally said the car arrives in May but could be sooner than that. Just like you, I did lots of research before I bought the A4. Now I have a pretty good idea what kind of mods I want and how much I should save up. Ah, more cup noodles for me.

When I test drove the A4, I found the catch point for the clutch is much higher than the Golf that I am currently driving.

By the way, your other half can get really mad at you for spending more time on Audiworld than with him/her. I am sure many of us have experienced this before.
