Just got the news, but still not totally sure...

I know that the tranny "hooks" up to the flywheel, Im no mechanic but I know that the 2.8 12v and 2.7t block are the SAME, except for the crank. The S4 has a timing chain, not a belt. But other than that they are THE SAME, so the 5 speed tranny should work with the S4 engine. Right? I aslo checked out the bolt pattern on the trans, same in both the 5 speed FWD, and 6spd AWD. U guys think this will work? If u have any info I don't PLEASE tell me, I don't want to spend a bunch of money for no reason. Thanks guys!
