Just had my car Mustang dyno'd got a torque reading of 982...

Is that a 3rd gear pull or 4th gear? Divide by overall gear ratio and assume 10-15% loss...
Note your stock gear ratio is with factory wheels/tires. If you have smaller, larger wheels, that affects the effective final drive ratio

Yes - the manufactuer is Mustang Dynamometer - However
the torque number is from the wheels rather than from the crank. So its hard to determine what would be the output that the Manaufactuer use.
I'm trying to determine is there a mathamatical formula for it?
