Default just for the hell of it -anyone who remembers geometry

what displacement would a combination of boring a 1.8L to 2L and adding a 2L stroker kit yield?

this would be very unpractical but I was just wonderign what someone could end up with if they were as crazy/stubborn as me and had the funds to back it up.

Default Depends on the specs?

Bore size makes a difference. If you bore out a 1.8t to 2L specs and stroke it using a 2L crank then you end up with a 2 liter motor which is about 1984cc. Now if you increase the bore you will increase the cc.

Then you better call me MR Crazy because I did this 2 years ago to end up with 2033cc.

don't think you could bore a 1.8 that much over!

Default No room for 5mm thats for sure. The safe max bore on the 1.8t block is

83.5mm which is 2.5mm over, use this with the stock crank and you come out with a 1.9L motor. Add the 2 liter crank and you end up with with what I have which is 2032cc.

Default You could try and use the TDi crank....

it has a 95.5mm stroke vs 92.8mm of a 2.0

That will get you 2.1L, but I'm sure it would take some work to get it to fit, and custom pistons with the pins moved up.

i think this set up would cause rod angularity problems too.

Default Dont think it will actually fit into the 1.8t block since there are clearing issues

with just the 2L crank and aftermarket rods.

Default You could always run a tall deck ABA block...

which has a longer rod, but I'm not sure how much higher you can raise the pin with an ABA piston, you might need custom rods that are slightly shorter.
